This is a very lovely HUMMEL figurine of "SISTER" mold number 98/2/0 dated 1962. Painter signature is from 1982. Goebel mark is version #6 the "Missing Bee" mark. The transition to this trademark began in 1979 and was complete by mid 1980. Many dealers and collectors lamented the passing of the traditional stylized V and bee and for a while called the mark the Missing Bee. In conjunction with this change, the company instituted the practice of adding to the traditional artist's mark the date the artist finished painting the piece. This figurine is in Excellent condition! It still has the paper label on the side. It will be carefully packaged when shipped.
